Selection Justification

The FASANOC Athlete Minimum Selection Policy outlines the minimum criteria relevant for Team Fiji participation at sanctioned games with the objective of ensuring the selection of the best and/or qualified athletes in the sports that make up Team Fiji in every outing.

The objectives of the Selection Justification Commission are to ensure the fair implementation of the FASANOC Athlete Minimum Selection Policy through rigorous understanding and application of the policy guidelines and standards, ensuring the best and qualified athletes make national representation, and to make the final recommendation of travelling teams to FASANOC for every sport undertaking at national level.

While the activities of the Selection Justification Commission are intricately linked to the practical reality and governance of each games that Team Fiji makes representation at, it has also established two milestones worthy of recognition:

Established mandatory OSEP relevant courses as critera for the appointment of Team Managers and Coaches for all sport and games, and the Implelentation of the FASANOC Athlete Minimum Selection Policy.
