The United States of America based Rewa lass said the game plan was always to win gold and she was proud that she managed to achieve that.
"I just focused on my technique and myself and making sure that I finished strong," she said.
Deborah said she was thankful to the support from her family and friends in Fiji and abroad.
"Also thanking my coach at Troy University Athletics, we made it" she said.
She threw a distance of 58.15 meters in her first attempt and 54.01m in the second.
The 24-year-old then managed a distance of 58.33m in her third throw which was her best.
Deborah joins fellow teammate Yeshnil Karan who won gold earlier in the week with a time of 32:32:30 seconds in the 10,000 meters and Vishant Reddy who won a bronze medal in the 800-meter final, clocking a time of 1.51.08 seconds.
