General Manager and Chef de Mission Positions

FASANOC invites applications for the positions of General Managers to join its volunteer management team to assist the respective Chef de Missions in Team Fiji's preparation and participation at the following Games:

•    2022 Pacific Mini Games, Saipan, Northern Marianas (17 – 25 June, 2022).
•    2022 XXII Commonwealth Games, Birmingham, England (28 July - 08 August 2022).

•    2022 XXII Commonwealth Games, Birmingham, England – Aquatics, Swimming, Athletics, Boxing, Judo, Lawn Bowls, Para Athletics and Table Tennis, Rugby 7s Men & Women, Table Tennis, Triathlon and Weightlifting. 

FASANOC is also looking for dynamic volunteer Chef de Missions to oversee Team Fiji's preparation and participation in the:

•    PACIFIC GAMES, HONIARA, SOLOMON ISLANDS, 19 NOVEMBER– 02 DECEMBER, 2023.
Potential sports: Archery, Athletics, Basketball, Beach Volleyball, Bodybuilding, Boxing, Football, Golf, Hockey, Karate, Netball, Powerlifting, Rugby 7s, Rugby League 9s, Touch Rugby, Sailing, Swimming, Table Tennis, Taekwondo, Tennis, Triathlon, Va’a, Volleyball – Indoor and Weightlifting. 

•    XXXIII OLYMPIC GAMES, PARIS, FRANCE, 26 JULY- 11 AUGUST, 2024.
Potential sports: Aquatics (Artistic Swimming, Diving, Swimming), Archery, Athletics, Badminton, Basketball,3x3 Basketball, Boxing, Cycling (Road, Track), Field hockey, Football, Golf, Gymnastics (Artistic, Rhythmic, Trampoline), Judo, Rugby Sevens, Sailing, Shooting, Surfing, Table Tennis, Taekwondo, Tennis, Triathlon, Volleyball (Indoor), Beach Volleyball, Weightlifting.

The main objective for Team Fiji is to ensure that our athlete’s access opportunities and support services they need to produce medal winning performances at these Games.

These positions represent a unique and challenging opportunity.  We are looking for people with experience in similar positions with strong motivational, high-level management, excellent communication skills and are team players.

Chef_de_Mission_Ad_for_2023 & 2024_Games

The positions represent a unique, challenging opportunity for the right person. The successful candidate will have significant experience in similar positions, strong motivational skills, high-level management skills and excellent communication skills. Strong leadership is mandatory and experience in sporting team management roles and previous involvement with Team Fiji will be an advantage. 
 
The position is entirely voluntary, but is supported by full time staff.  The reward is the enormous satisfaction gained from working with the sporting fraternity to bring about outstanding performances from our athletes that will do Fiji proud in the regional and international arena, in addition to contributing towards FASANOC’s Vision “to inspire the people of Fiji through sports excellence.”  
The candidate must be fully vaccinated (proof of full vaccination to be provided). Shortlisted applicants will be required to undergo a full medical examination.
