Master’s Degree Programme “Olympic Studies, Olympic Education, Organisation and Management of Olympic Events”

Objectives

• Promoting knowledge and research on Olympic philosophy, education, pedagogy, event management, and sports studies.

• Providing postgraduate students with specialized knowledge in Olympic studies to support their academic, professional, and research careers.

• Training a specialized workforce to lead Olympic and athletic institutions, advance international Olympic education, and support sports development through         scientific research.

Program Timeline

The duration of the programme is three (3)semesters. Students are required to attend two semesters of lectures in Greece. The third semester is dedicated to the preparation of the master thesis at the student’s place.

Dates of Lectures in Greece (physical presence is demanded):

• First Semester: 19 September2025 - 22 November 2025

• Second Semester: 03 April 2026 - 07 June 2026 (These dates may be subject to change)

Period of thesis preparation:

• Third Semester: September 2026 - February 2027

How to Apply

1. Fill out and submit the Application form  

2. Submit your Expression of Interest and include:

        -  Your sporting background; competitions/games attended, dates and location, medals won (if any) etc.

        -  How will the programme benefit you

        -  How will you contribute to your sporting community after doing this programme

3. Submit CV/Resume and necessary supporting documents i.e. any certifications referenced in your CV.

4. Submit copy of valid passport biodata page (must be valid until 2027)

5. Submit Application form, EOI and passport to justine@fasanoc.org.fj with the subject title “IOC MASTER’S DEGREE PROGRAMME” by Monday 14 April 2025.
