As per FASANOC's Selection Justification Appeals Policy "athletes and officials have an opportunity to appeal their cases if they feel they have been unfairly deprived of the opportunity to represent their sport/country as a member of a Fiji representative Team under the jurisdiction of FASANOC."
FASANOC held its final Board of Management meeting for National Federations last Wednesday, 8 December, 2020. The meeting was FASANOC’s second virtual meeting with National Federations, the first being its deferred Annual General Assembly held on Saturday, 30 October, 2020. Both meetings were attended by the membership of FASANOC which consists of 39 National Federations.
A highlight of the Board of Management meeting was the approval of the Team Fiji Team Officials for the 2022 Saipan Pacific Mini Games and the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games. The appointment of Team Officials had been through FASANOC’s Selection Justification process before being finally recommended to the Board of Management for approval.
The FASANOC Board of Management has approved the following officials for the Games to be held in 2022, subject to successful completion of the relevant Oceania Sports Education Programme courses or equivalent and being double vaccinated ie 2 jabs:

As per FASANOC's Selection Justification Appeals Policy "athletes and officials have an opportunity to appeal their cases if they feel they have been unfairly deprived of the opportunity to represent their sport/country as a member of a Fiji representative Team under the jurisdiction of FASANOC."
“Those who wish to appeal shall do so in writing, clearly stating his/her reasons for the appeal. The appeal shall be lodged with the Secretary General/CEO of FASANOC at Fiji Olympic House within 48 hours of the announcement of the decision against which the appeal is made.”
On this occasion, for Team Officials listed above, the appeals window opens tomorrow Thursday, 16 December, 2020 and closes at 5 pm, Friday, 17 December, 2020. FASANOC will accept written appeals lodged at Fiji Olympic House (or Suva Apartment Office if the Fiji Olympic House is closed) or emailed to lorraine@fasanoc.org.fj (Subject APPEAL).
FASANOC will appoint a three-member Appeals Tribunal, which will make a decision based on submissions from the appellant, the Selection Justification Commission and the National Federation concerned.
Any athlete or official wishing to submit an appeal to the FASANOC APPEALS TRIBUNAL shall do so on the clear understanding that the decision of the Appeals Tribunal shall be binding on all parties.
