Team Fiji Sevens Men's Rugby pushed to the limit and Team Fiji Sailor Sophia improves her placing in her fourth race
Team Fiji Rugby Sevens Men's were pushed again to the limit by a determined Team Canada winning 28 - 14.
Tries by Napolioni Bolaca and Jiuta Wainiqolo managed to put Team Fiji in a great position to win comfortably but a try by Team Canada Captain Nathan Hirayama cut the deficit to within 7 points.
Despite playing with a man advantage, Team Fiji struggled to break a defiant Team Canada defence but a try by replacement Aminiasi Tuimaba managed to extend their lead 21 - 7.
A try by Team Canada less than a minute left on the clock had fans on the edge of their seats but Team Fiji managed to hold on with a try after full time by Asaeli Tuivuaka for a 28 - 14 win.
The Jerry Tuwai led team will face Team Great Britain in their last pool match tomorrow.
Meanwhile Team Fiji sailor Sophia Morgan continues to improve in her competition after placing 35th in her fourth race.
Sophia was placed 43rd in her first race and improved to a 40th placing in her second race.
She managed to place 41st in her third race and ended the second day of competition placed 35th.
