Team Fiji Weightlifter Taniela Rainibogi has been confirmed as the flag bearer for Team Fiji at the Opening Ceremony of the 2023 Pacific Games that will be held at the National Stadium in Honiara, Solomon Islands this Sunday 19 November, 2023.

Team Fiji Chef de Mission, Ajay Ballu says they had received five nominations for Flag Bearer from National Federations and athletes.
He added that Rainibogi is an exceptional athlete who has represented Fiji in regional and international weightlifting competitions and has medalled in a number of championships as well.
The 25 year old Naweni, Cakaudrove native participated at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in the weightlifting competition, and was awarded the bronze medal in the men's 96 kg event.
Meanwhile the Pacific Games Opening Ceremony will be held on Sunday 19th November 2023.
Fiji will begin competitions tomorrow in the sport of Football, Basketball, Table Tennis and Tennis.
