The Fiji Tattslotto has provided $30,000 to the Fiji Sports Awards (FSA) Committee for the 2019 Fiji Sports Awards
The Fiji Tattslotto has provided $30,000 to the Fiji Sports Awards (FSA) Committee for the 2019 Fiji Sports Awards in what has become more than a decade long partnership.
Fiji Sports Council Chief Executive Officer and FSA Chairwoman Litiana Loabuka acknowledged the support from Fiji Tattslotto Senior Administration Manager Sereana Brown.
"We have always been grateful for the support from Fiji Tattslotto who has always been a wonderful supporter of sports in the country," she said.
Ms Brown said they were grateful for the opportunity to continue their sponsorship and even re committed to sponsoring the Fiji Sports Awards for the unforeseeable future.
Fiji Tattslotto is the major sponsor for the two main categories which are the Sportsman and Sportswoman of the Year Awards.
This award was won by Fiji Airways Flying Fijians fly-half Alivereti Veitokani and Olympian and national Table Tennis rep Sally Yee won the Sportswoman of the Year.
The full list of categories for the annual Fiji Sports Awards include; technical official of the year, sports volunteer of the year, coach of the year, sports organisation of the year, sports photograph of the year, administrator of the year sports team of the year, young female athlete of the year, young male athlete of the year, Fiji sportswoman of the year and Fiji sportsman of the year.
Ms Loabuka said to promote good governance in the national sports organisations, a special award would be given out.
She said the Fiji Sports Awards was aimed at recognising the sporting achievement of Fiji's athletes.
