FASANOC is looking for dynamic volunteer Chefs de Mission to oversee Team Fiji's preparation and participation in the:

• ASIAN INDOOR AND MARTIAL ARTS GAMES, Bangkok, Thailand,

21 - 30 MAY, 2021.

Potential sports: TBA (potential team size 50)

• XI PACIFIC MINI GAMES, SAIPAN, NORTHERN MARIANA, (Late) 2021.

Potential sports: Athletics, Badminton, Baseball (Men), Beach Volleyball, Golf and Triathlon, (potential team size 140)

• XXII COMMONWEALTH GAMES, BIRMINGHAM, ENGLAND, 27 JULY - 07 AUGUST 2022.

Potential sports: Aquatics, Athletics, Badminton, 3x3 Basketball, Beach Volleyball, Boxing, Cricket Women, Cycling, Football, Hockey, Judo, Lawn Bowls, Netball, Rugby 7s, Squash, Table Tennis, Triathlon and Weightlifting. (potential team size 140)

The objective of the Chef de Mission role is to ensure that Team Fiji to each of the Games is presented with all the opportunities and the support services it needs to produce medal winning performances and bring glory to our nation, Fiji.  

The position represents a unique, challenging opportunity for the right person. The successful candidate will have significant experience in similar positions, strong motivational skills, high-level management skills and excellent communication skills.  Strong leadership is mandatory and experience in sporting team management roles and previous involvement with Team Fiji will be an advantage.  

The position is entirely voluntary, but is supported by full time staff.  The reward is the enormous satisfaction gained from working with the sporting fraternity to bring about outstanding performances from our athletes that will do Fiji proud in the regional and international arena, in addition to contributing towards FASANOC’s Vision “to inspire the people of Fiji through sports excellence.”
