The 2022 Fiji Sports Awards will be held on Saturday 25 March, 2023 at the Vodafone Arena. The awards nominations will comprise achievements and contributions from 2020, 2021 and 2022 as the Awards event could not be held during these 3 years because of Covid.
The annual Fiji Sport Awards which is staged in the first quarter of each calendar year acknowledges the important role that sports plays in developing our nations. It focuses on Fiji’s sporting industry in acknowledging sport’s most unique, influential and inspirational personalities and are the only national awards dedicated to recognizing excellence in Fijian sports.
The Organising Committee cordially invites all National Federations and the sporting fraternity to submit and nominations in the following categories;
• Technical Official of the Year
• Sports Photograph of the Year
• Sports Organisation of the Year
• Young Sportsman and Sportswoman of the Year
• Sportsman and Sportswoman of the Year
Nomination forms can be obtained from the websites of FASANOC, FSC and FNSC.

Nominations strictly close Friday 27, January 2023, and finalists will be notified by the Sports Awards Committee shortly after.
A strong advisory to all submitting nominations to please ensure reading the conditions which invite nominating parties to compile the nomination submission with information on the respective 2020 - 2022 achievements and the relevant endorsements.
All sports industry personnel who have produced outstanding work in sports and in their various sports communities during the qualifying period (from 1st January 2020 – 31st December 2022) and qualify for any of the above eleven (11) categories are encouraged to submit entries for the awards.
Negotiations are currently being finalised for the Guest Speaker for the dinner.
Reservations for tickets and tables of 8 are recommended and can be made with FASANOC.
Tickets can be purchased from FASANOC office at a later date.
Meanwhile, Fiji Tattslotto today announced their continued support for the 2022 Sportsman and Sportswoman of the Year categories for the upcoming Fiji Sports Awards.
“We are more than delighted to be the major sponsor again for this year’s event, something which we proudly do every year before Covid entered our beautiful shores,“ said Lusiana Tamarisi, Senior Manager for the Company.
“We personally feel there is a substantial need to give back to our nation towards the development of various sports, that we must do continually, and this is the Tattslotto way of doing that.”
Fiji Tattslotto has been the main sponsor of the above two categories and a major partner since the inception of the awards in2012.
“Amongst other things during Covid, sports were considerably affected over the last two years however Fiji still persevered and attended competitions locally and internationally including the Women’s Rugby World Cup,” said a spokesperson of the 2022 FSA organising committee.

About Fiji Sports Awards
The Fiji Sports Awards is a joint event organised by the Fiji National Sports Commission, Fiji Sports Council and Fiji Association of Sports & National Olympic Committee (FASANOC). The awards celebrate the outstanding achievements of athletes, coaches, teams, administrators and volunteers in Fijian sport. The event is chaired on a rotational basis amongst the three entities and this year is being chaired by FASANOC.
